About the Author
Author: John Austin Fife
Although
I was born in a small farm town in central
Massachusetts, I spent the vast majority of my life living on the West
Coast, from San Diego => Seattle.
My
focus in higher education was in clinical psychology from which I received an AA and
BA degree (big
deal). I
worked in that field for many years as a social worker, counselor and
psychiatric aide.
My
credentials in the field of electricity include electrical engineering
at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa,
CA; three
and a half years in the U..S..Air Force as an electronics avionics
repairman;
customer service representative for Texas Instruments; electronics
technician for the U.S. Geological Survey and over twenty
years experience as a computer systems manager for the
Department of the Interior and Boeing Aircraft. While a systems manager
I have had several articles published in national trade magazines on
various technical aspects of computer
science.
I
recently spent a year living on the side of a volcano (about 3000' up) in Maui, Hawaii, and now have a home
in Kona on
the BIG
Island of Hawaii.
I
have for quite some time, tried my hand at web creation. Most of which is
