Author Bio

My experience in this subject
starts with
my minor in Computer Science in college. I took COBOL, computer
architecture, Fortran and some other computer classes, that I can't
remember.
My first computer related
professional employment was with Texas
Instruments as a Customer Service Rep. for their products.
I then moved to being the System
Manager for the Dept. of Interior,
USGS Marine Geology seismic processing Digital Equipment VAX
computers in Menlo Park, CA.
After ten years I then moved to
Seattle and became a Systems Manager
for Boeing Aircraft on their mainframe VAX systems. While at
Boeing I also managed various other systems such as UNIX CATIA
workstations, Digital Equip workstations, HP-UX 9000, H3000 MPE/ix,
Sequent Dynix/ptx as well as my share of legacy systems. I
retired from that job after ten years and moved to Hawaii.
I have, or still do program in
DOS, Fortran, Vax/DCL, Cobol, HTML,
Unix, Javascript and Basic.
I have written many nationally
published Computer Science magazine
articles as well as a book on what electricity is:
for the general public.
I create websites as a hobby and
have accumulated a wide variety of
different net businesses, self-help and medical support websites.
I now live on the Big
Island
of Hawaii
and when not geeking on the computer,
I'm gardening.
