When we moved to the mainland we left behind our ohana an all the aspects of life we enjoyed. Being back here on the mainland has it advantages but also it's disadvantages, one of which is loneliness, Because most people move by themselves or maybe just the immediate family.
One of the first things most locals do when they move to another location here on the mainland or in another country, is look around for other locals, to share the special life style of Hawaii.
Well to make a long story short we had a hard time finding any other locals here in West Virginia, but eventually we did find a few, by word of mouth. So I decided to make this website so that it may be easier for others to connect. You might have lived in the area for years an know every local around for miles, but then someone new arrives doesn't’t know beans about the area, an for a long time thinks he or she is the only other Hawaii local around. With this website I hope to give them a place to look and find others in the area where they live.
Now from this point on it gits local, K. Now this is not some kine fancy shamancy website, it’s plain en simple cause all we wanta do is help guys connect.
So take a few en go to da submit form on da other page en fill da buggah out en send’um in. Den on da first of da month I go grab da buggahs en update da site.
Den come back to da site da next day en your name should be listed under your state en in da alpah list too.
Now wen you fill da form out, dakine info you like give is up ta you, but would be nice foah give your Name, where you live now, where you lived in da islands, and da question all locals ask each other "Eh where you wen grad" so go put your high school en da year you wen grad or if you nevea grad, den put da year you should have, Eh nobody goin check, en if anybody say anything we give'um one slap.
I'll tell you from personal kine experience dat wen we went had our first get together wit da other locals we wen find, Ho broke da mout, I wen grind so much my opu like sit down, but da food dat my soul wen get no can splain dat one, dats jahs da Hawaiian Style.
