Viewing and Printing Days, Weeks, and Months
With the IDEAL Calendar, you can view and print a day view of occasions or a week view of occasions in addition to viewing and printing a month view. You can also create and print schedules, or lists of occasions for selected days or months.
Viewing and Printing Days
- Right-click the day on the calendar.
- From the options that appear, click Day View, and the day view appears.
- To return to the month view, right-click anywhere on the dayview. From the options that appear, click Month View, and the month view appears.
To print the day view:
- View the day view by following the steps above.
- Then click File at the top of the calendar.
- From the options that appear, click Print. The Print dialog box appears:
- In the Include box of the Print dialog box, check the items you want to include in your day view printout and select where on the page (Top or Bottom-right) you want the month title to appear.
- In the Size box of the Print dialog box, select the size of the printed area by unchecking Stretch to page and selecting a percentage (100%, 75%, or 50%) of the page to cover with the day view.
- To print the day view, click OK at the bottom of the Print dialog box, and the day view prints.
- To return to the month view, right-click anwywhere on the day view. From the options that appear, click Month View, and the month view appears.
Viewing and Printing Weeks
- Right-click any day of the appropriate week on the calendar.
- From the options that appear, click Week View, and the week view appears.
- To return to the month view, right-click anywhere on the week view. From the options that appear, click Month View, and the month view appears.
To print the week view:
- View the week view by following the steps above.
- Then click File at the top of the calendar.
- From the options that appear, click Print. The Print dialog box appears:
- In the Include box of the Print dialog box, check the items you want to include in your week view printout and select where on the page (Top or Bottom-right) you want the month title to appear.
- In the Size box of the Print dialog box, select the size of the printed area by unchecking Stretch to page and selecting a percentage (100%, 75%, or 50%) of the page to cover with the week view.
- To print the week view, click OK at the bottom of the Print dialog box, and the week view prints.
- To return to the month view, right-click anwywhere on the week view. From the options that appear, click Month View, and the month view appears.

To view a calendar month if you are currently viewing the day view or week view:
- Right-click anwhere on the day view or week view.
- From the options that appear, click Month View, and the calendar month appears.
To print the month view:
- View the month view by following the steps above.
- Then click File at the top of the calendar.
- From the options that appear, click Print. The Print dialog box appears:
- In the Include box of the Print dialog box, check the items you want to include in your month view printout and select where on the page (Top or Bottom-right) you want the month title to appear.
- In the Size box of the Print dialog box, select the size of the printed area by unchecking Stretch to page and selecting a percentage (100%, 75%, or 50%) of the page to cover with the month view.
- To print the month view, click OK at the bottom of the Print dialog box, and the month view prints.
Viewing and Printing Schedules
To create and view a schedule, or list of occasions, follow these steps:
- Click Tools and then click Output Occasions. The Output Occasions dialog box appears.
- In the Output Occasions dialog box, click the Output Occasions tab. The Output Occasions options appear:
- Choose the settings to create your schedule from among the Ouput Occasions options:
- Day range. Select All days or Days. If you select Days, list the dates on which you want to view occasions, separated by commas.
- Month range. Select All months or Months. If you select months, list the months for which you want to view occasions, separated by commas.
- Year. Type the appropriate year.
- Current Day. Click Current Day if you want to view only the occasions for the current day.
- Occasions. Select the occasions you want to view.
- Output to. Select HTML file and View.
- Page break per month. You use this setting when you print a schedule with two or more months and want each month on a separate page.
- In the Output Occasions dialog box, click the Columns and Headers tab.
The Columns and Headers options appear:
- Choose the settings for the columns and headers you want:
- Headers. Select general headings and column headings for your schedule.
- Available and Current Columns. Select the columns you want to view by clicking a column heading and then clicking Add or Remove to add the column to your schedule or remove the column from your schedule. Click Move Up or Move Down to change the position of a selected column.
- Click OK. Your schedule appears.
In the illustration of Output Occasions options above, the Day range and Month range settings shown create a schedule of occasions for the 1st and 15th of October, November, and December.
| Note: | Days and months will not be shown if they do not contain occasions. |
To print a schedule, follow the instructions for creating and viewing a schedule but change one setting: when you make selections from the Output to options, select Printer instead of HTML file. To print, click OK.
